FAQ
How much does the service cost? There are no fixed or affiliation fees. Our model is based exclusively on a commission on confirmed bookings—you only pay when a reservation is successfully completed.
How does the commission work? The guest books through our platform and receives a confirmation email. Payment is made directly at the hotel upon check-in. Each month, we send a draft invoice listing all confirmed bookings, and partners have 10 days to report any corrections. Mid-month, we issue the final invoice, and the commission is settled by the end of the month via SEPA direct debit or, for non-EU countries, through our local banking partners.
How does the booking process work? The guest selects the desired offer on our website and completes the booking online. They immediately receive a confirmation email—just like the hotel, which must then manually enter the reservation into its system. Payment is made directly at the hotel at check-in.
What are the benefits of the service? We help properties maximize occupancy and generate incremental revenue by selling: a) Rooms that would normally remain unsold during daytime hours; b) The same room twice a day (morning and evening) thanks to dedicated time slots. Additionally, we attract new guest segments (business travelers, couples, transit travelers) without overlapping with overnight demand.
Can you help me sell day-use offers and hotel services directly as well? With the DayBreakHero booking engine, you can receive direct bookings through your hotel’s website—completely commission-free. The booking engine comes with a free trial and can be used alongside your existing engine for overnight stays.
How do you manage no-shows?We proactively reduce no-shows by encouraging guests to cancel in advance if they no longer intend to use their booking. Our measures consistently keep the no-show rate below 2%. In the rare case of a no-show, no commission is charged.
Who takes care of onboarding? We handle the entire onboarding process for you. You’ll receive credentials to access our user-friendly Extranet, and if applicable, we’ll assist you with connecting your channel manager. A dedicated Account Manager will also be assigned to support your property at every step.
Which channel managers do you work with?We are integrated with over 20 leading channel managers, including SiteMinder, TravelClick, and the central reservation systems (CRS) of major hotel brands such as Hilton and Accor. We’re continuously expanding our integrations—please contact us to check compatibility with your channel manager.
What is the cancellation policy for guests?Guests may cancel free of charge until 13:00 on the day of arrival for same-day bookings, or until midnight the day before check-in for future bookings.
How can I sell my services? You can showcase and sell additional services—such as F&B, meeting rooms, spa access, pool passes, or custom packages—either independently or bundled with a day-use room. Our platform gives you full flexibility to promote your hotel’s amenities.
What is the average production? Many partner properties experience double-digit sales growth from offering day-use rooms. Production varies by location and demand—contact us for a tailored projection based on your hotel’s specifics.
Who do you already work with?We partner with over 7,000 hotels across 16 countries, from economy accommodations to premium luxury brands. Our portfolio includes renowned chains such as Hilton, Accor, Marriott, IHG, and many others.
Who sets the prices? What rate should I use?You are in full control of your pricing. We typically recommend offering a competitive discount off your standard overnight rate to attract day-use customers, while still maximizing revenue from unused inventory.
What time slots should I offer? You are free to choose time slots that suit your operational needs. The minimum stay is 4 hours, but most popular time slots range from 7 to 8 hours. For optimal performance, we suggest offering a variety of slots covering different parts of the day, from early morning to evening.
What is your lead time?We specialize in last-minute bookings, primarily targeting unsold inventory. Most reservations are made within 0–2 days of check-in, making our model ideal for maximizing same-day occupancy.
